Tech-enabled service delivery

We use technology to increase Childhood Immunization completion rates in the under-reached communities

Health Support Initiatives uses technology to contribute to increase in vaccination coverage in the under-reached communities. The technology pathways include interactive phone calls and short message services (SMS). The e-health services enable the caregivers of children access critical information where and when they need it.

Caregiver factors that influence childhood immunization coverage include (but are not limited to)forgetting vaccination schedules and appointments. Parental forgetfulness can have a substantial impact on whether a child becomes fully immunized with all recommended vaccines.

Reminder SMS notify parents about upcoming appointments, while recalls via phone calls inform parents once their child is overdue for an immunization.
